Bon Voyage!!

Yaaaaahhhh Hoooo people…we’re going on a trip thanks to Digistamps4Joy! Yup…the challenge this week is to make a project (it doesn’t have to be a card) depicting travel, a vacation or something from a Holiday Destination.
I have always wanted to go to Hawaii…and thanks to the fabulous image I got to work with, I at least get to feel like I've been there.
This is my way of making a luminary lol. I wanted to do something that would make you think of Hawaii, and what better than thatched huts and hula girls? The image is called Hula Honey and can be found at Digistamps4Joy here.
Isn't she gorgeous? I printed her 4 times onto velum paper and then colored the back side of each image with SU markers and Prisma Scholar pencil crayons and oms (skin only). I put the velum in between the glass chimney and the metal of the holder. I then added raffia to the top of the candle holder to give it the thatched hut effect. I used a rub on sentiment for the tag. It says "off on a VACATION to have a little fun...Rest and Relaxation and soaking up some sun! "

Just thought that I would show you a shot with the candle lit.

So now you’re probably wondering how you can get in on the fun. Well just click here and it will bring you right to the Digistamps4Joy Challenge Blog. There you’ll find all the rules and regulations….and what the prizes are…cause of course what’s a challenge without prizes? Hope to see you all there.

Supplies:
Uncolored image by Digistamps4Joy
Small tealight holder found at Dollar store
Heavey weight velum
SU Markers, Prisma Scholar pencil crayons
Raffia
Tag shaped plastic tag
DP from my stash
Rub on Sentiment
