It's All Downhill From Here

Hi all…I’m so excited because Digistamps4Joy is sponsoring Brown Sugar Challenges and I’m a GD for it! The theme for the challenge is to use a die or punch…and have I ever done both lol. This card started out as a fun birthday card for my son, but grew until I knew that it no longer suited a soon to be 25 year old man lol.

The image that I chose to use for this challenge is called Scary Scene. I know, you’re thinking “Why would you use a image called Scary Scene” for a 25th birthday card? Well, as my title suggests, “It’s all downhill from here” lol. So, the premise was a good one…my son has his mother’s warped sense of humour lol…so I got out my black and white papers and in the end, this is what I came up with.

Now you see what I mean…just a wee too “girly” with all those flowers to be a good card for a young man. So, I switched the birthday sentiment and made it a Happy 50th Birthday and will give it to my friend when she turns 50 (she also has a warped sense of humour)! I colored the image with my SU pastels so that I could get that wonderful ring around the moon.

Thanks for visiting my blog today and I hope that you will all go over and join in on this great challenge…and maybe leave a little love for the DT there.
