Digistamps4Joy Anything Goes….with a Bonus

Digistamsp4Joy is having another challenge and this time it’s up to you what you do….it’s an anything goes…but with a bonus. If you use a Digistamps4Joy image on your project you will triple your chances of winning!! Yup, you heard right, you will TRIPLE your chances of winning. Now if you use an image other than a Digistamps4Joy one, you will still get one entry in for the random draw.

So this challenge I got to use an incredible image called Star Keeper.
Isn’t she absolutely gorgeous? I have been wanting to do something with her for a long time, so I was so excited that this challenge came up. You can find her and all the other fabulous images at Digistamps4Joy here. I decided to do a tent card and hang her from the center of it. You can find the tutorial for the tent card here. I paperpieced her dress with a white dp with purple glitter in it. Unfortunately, no matter how many pictures I took, I couldn't get the purple glitter to show up lol. I added gold stick ons in the 3 corners and I added a swarovski crystal in the corner of each of the stick on's. And I added stickles to my flowers.
I stamped stars with versa mark on the black background paper and embossed them with gold embossing powder. My dp had purple flowers on it so I took a gold metallic felt pen and colored them all gold.

So now you're wondering how to join this fabulous challenge aren't you? Well here are the rules and prizes:

Breakfast in Bed

Recently I had to make a get well card for a friend of mine, but what to make for a guy? Then I remembered an image that I got from Marlene of Disguised as a Grown-Up. If you have never been to Marlene's blog before I encourage you to go. She has some of the best "off the wall" images and sentiments around. So as I was saying, I remembered this fabulous image that I got of a nurse and this is what I did with it.
Isn't she fabulous? I teamed her up with a sentiment that I found on Splitcoast Stampers. Here`s a close up of her.

Digistamps4Joy Challenge #27 – The Colors of Fall

Yup…it’s that time of year again. Seems like just yesterday we were finishing winter and here we are almost at fall again. Oh wait a minute…it was just yesterday that winter ended lol. Anyways, to celebrate this time of year We were given a challenge to create something that reflected fall…not necessarily fall themed, but the colors of fall. So we were given this picture as inspiration.

Isn’t it beautiful…gotta love all those wonderful reds, greens, browns, yellows and oranges. So for my project I got to play with a fabulous image called  Funky Kate and you can find her here.
Isn’t she just the cutest? This card is for a friend that lives in another country, so I thought that I would really get into the fall theme and send her a bit of Canada…our Maple leaf. Sorry though, I can’t give you a link for the pattern of the card because I made this one myself lol.

I coloured Kate with Prisma Scholar pencil crayons and did her belt and shirt strap with gold metallic marker, the flowers were a birthday gift from my wonderful friend Vickie, and the yellow stamen were a win from my wonderful friend Tee.

So what do you have to do to enter this challenge you ask? Well it’s so easy, all you do is:

Make a creation using the colors of fall…it does not have to be fall themed.
One random winner will be chosen (random.org) to win 3 images of choice from the store.

We will then have a DT's choice award. This award will go to the card / project that we vote to be our favourite (and must be a digistamps4joy image). This winner will receive a $6 gift voucher to spend in the store. We hope that there will be an entry (or two) using a Digistamps 4 Joy image, as there wasn't one in the previous challenge.

You do not need to use a Digistamps4Joy image to win, but we’d love it if you do!
We will choose 2 runners-up who we feel deserve a spot in the top 3.

Help for a friend

I just wanted to post a heartfelt THANK YOU to all of you wonderful ladies that have not only stopped by my blog to see my message about Karen, but to also thank you for going to Wendy's blog and Karen's blog and doing whatever you were able to do to help an extraordinary person.  The response that I have gotten has been overwhelming not only from the people that have replied here, but from all of the wonderful people that sent me messages to my email. I have long known that the ladies of the CDAC were a truly special lot of people...and you have all just proven me right once again. There are not enough words to express my gratitude to all of you that have been so generous to this cause. I wish that I had the time to go to each and everyone of your blogs to tell you all how incredible you are, but I don't, so I hope that this will convey my thanks.

Hugs and Stuff~
