A Walk in the Park

Well, here we are on the last day of NettieG's Fashion Challenge. For this last card I chose to have Elizabeth in a walking outfit...perfect for a walk in the park. You can find the image here. Nettie has Elizabeth and in her Corset and stockings, her petticoat and 3 dresses...2 day dresses and 1 walking dress...for sale in her store for $5.50. Go check out her store...she has some wonderful images.

Again, I wanted Elizabeth to stand out because she is such a lovely image...so I colored her in red with purple trim. On her hat I added flower soft to make the flowers look more real. And added flower soft to the open gazeebo and flower pots around her.

I added a little red and white rose to the bottom right corner with small purple heart embellishments. In the bottom left and top right hand corners I have added larger purple heart embellishments. I also added the small hearts on the base of the card by the sentiment. The sentiment was by Squigglefly.
Supplies: SU Cherry Cobbler, Purple cs from Michaels
Purple frame by The Sherlocks' Home
Background gazeebo is from an advertisement for a gazeebo
Flowers by Recollections Boutique Fluer Mullberry Paper Mini Roses
Purple heart embellishments by Offray Stylish Accents
Fuchia Flower Soft

NettieG's Digital Gems Fashion Challenge

So we are on the second part of Nettie G's Fashion Challenge and this is my new entry. This time we were given Elizabeth in a petticoat to play with. She was so much fun to work with. Coming up with a new idea...yeah...not so much lol. So I hope you like what I did with her. So without further adu...cause I'm running late again...here's my Elizabeth in her Petticoat. You can find this image as well as all of her other fantastic images at NettieG's Blog Shop. The sentiment is a freebie that I got from Create with TLC.... you can find it and a bunch of other freebies here. You can also find some wonderful images and sentiments at her store here.

The sentiment says Each happiness of yesterday is a memory for tomorrow.
So I have to say thank you to my dd for letting me raid her craft supplies....thanks sweetie! I had chosen my colors and then realized that I had no embellishment to go with them. So my dd nicely said I could raid her stuff.
Of course I have to do a close up...

NettieG's Digital Gems Fashion Challenge

Nettie of Nettie G's was having a fashion challenge. This is a progressive challenge over 3 weeks. Last week we were emailed our first image. It was an image called Eliza and she was in her corsett and stockings. We had until 11:59 p.m. tonight to be able to link our card to her challenge. I decided to use this image to make a card for my sister for her upcoming birthday (o.k...it's not until April, but at least the card is done and ready to be mailed lol). I decided to go with a SU Rich Razzleberry cardstock for the base and printed the image on white cs from Michaels. I added a light pink cardstock from Micheals and stamped a Victorian heart on it (from Michaels) using SU Purely Pomegranate ink.

I colored her with SU watercolor pencils and distressed the edges with Colorbox Petal Point Enchantment ink to match the flowers. The clasps for the garter and buttons on her shoes,  are colored with a Silver Metallic Gelly Roll pen from Michaels. The flowers are by Portafolia and the brads in the centers are from Michaels. The sentiment is computer generated. The pearls are from my local scrapbooking store Bartell's. They are made by Recollections.
