Christmas Greetings
It’s
time for another challenge at Digistamps4Joy…well, actually it’s been on for a
week already and I’m just doing the one week reminder. Last week Team A posted
their lovely creations for our challenge, this week is Team B’s turn. So what
is this challenge you ask? Well this time we would like you to make a tag. That’s
right, we want to see tags. Now this can be a gift tag or a tag on a card, whatever
you choose to make.
So
since Christmas is just around the corner (sorry to remind you, but it’s true),
I decided to do a Christmas tag. I used Digistamps4Joy’s wonderful new image by
Jen Lee, called Vintage Lantern Girl. She was just so much fun to play with.
The
tag is a svg file by Birds Cards that I printed out and cut out by hand. I then
printed out the image on white cs and then paper pieced her outfit. I wish I
could tell you what the papers were, but they were just pieces I had in my
stash. I used my red glitter pen to trace out the pointsettias on her dress and
hat.
I
used my bronze metallic pen for the lamp and my gold glitter pen for the light
in the lamp.
I
then added stickles onto the “fur” part of her outfit and used my Staedtler
pencil crayons and oms to colour her dress, band on her hat her face and hair. I
used my white gel pen to add small white dots to her dress and the band of her
hat. The
Merry Christmas and the holly were part of my stash.
Now
it’s your turn to show us what you got. Just head on over to Digistamps4JoyChallenge blog to check out all the rules and prizes. And while you’re there,
check out what my team mates, from A and B, have done up to inspire you.
Thanks
for visiting…..Charlene

Digistamps4Joy World Card Making Day Blog Hop
Welcome
to our World Card Making Day Blog Hop. You have arrived at Charlene’s Blog in
the Fraser Valley in Beautiful British Columbia, Canada.
To celebrate World
Card Making Day Digistamps4Joy is having a blog hop! And guess
what…Digistamps4Joy is also offering the prizes! And what prizes they are too.
Each DT member has gotten to choose her favorite image from the store to make a
project out of….and that is the prize for her blog. So the image she presents
it the image you have a chance to win! So with 12 stops along the hop, that
gives you 12 chances to win! You might win one image…you might win more as each
prize will be randomly drawn by each blog owner.
If
you landed on my page first, then just carry on down the list, and from the top
again till you are back at my blog OR start at the top at the Digistamps4Joy blog, and work
your way though to the final stop (Ursula’s blog). The hop order is indicated
on each blog, so you will not ‘get lost’!
Digistamps4joy (starting
blog)
CHARLENE(that’s me, so you
are here now)
DESIRE
(Your next stop)
URSULA (last blog)
This is the card that
I am showcasing for the Blog Hop. I used the image Festive
Snooze and you can get it at the store or maybe win it here.
I coloured it with
Staedtler Pencil crayons, oms, and my red and gold glitter pens. I used my
homemade white flower soft for the snow at the bottom of the image. I used my
SU Christmas Wheel (sorry, I don’t remember the exact name of it) and glitter
blue embossing powder to add the flourishes. The frame for the image and
sentiment was made with my Nestibilities Scalloped Oval Dies. In
behind the image I have added more of my heat embossed paper. The base dp is
from Bazzil and the glitter paper was some that I have had in my stash for
years. I also used the glitter paper to punch out the snowflakes. The ornament
is a svg from The Cutting Café. I used my SU ticket corner punch on some of my
corners. The card fold is called a Center Step Card.
And this is the image
that you can win on my blog

Takin a Little Nap
If you would like a chance to win this adorable image or some of the 11 others being showcased, go to our blog hop by clicking here
Hello all, it’s
another beautiful day here in the Fraser Valley, the sun is shining and the sky
is blue…hard to believe that it’s fall already. Or that Christmas is around the
corner…brrrrr. And speaking of Christmas, I just have to show you the adorable
image that I just got to play with for our current blog hop at Digistamps4Joy.
The image is called Festive Snooze and let me tell you, this little guy looks
like he has really enjoyed Christmas.
The base dp is

years. I also used the glitter paper to punch out the snowflakes. The ornament
is a svg from The Cutting Café. I used my SU ticket corner punch on some of my
corners. The card fold is called a Center Step Card and you can find it here.
You can find this
adorable image at the Digistamps4Joy store or you can join in on our blog hop
and have a chance of winning it when I do my random draw.

Winter Wonderland
It’s
time for another fabulous challenge at Pattie’s Creations. This time the
challenge is to Make a Tag. That’s right, we want to see your tags. It can be a
tag on a card or an actual tag the choice is yours.
I
decided to make a tag for a gift for my project. And to make my tag I used 2 of
Pattie’s incredible images, Merry Christmas Lamp Post and Cardinal Branch Snow.
I decided to make a little mini scene with them…well, you’ll see what I mean…
I
coloured them with my Staedtler pencil crayons and oms. I used my bronze
metallic pen for the lamp post and sign and my gold glitter pen for the flames
inside the lamp and sign. I coloured beneath the sign to make it look like a
sidewalk or road and then lightly penciled in my snow hills and the pond in
between them. I made the snow with my
homemade white flower soft (I rubbed 2 styrofoam balls together) and then added
stickles to the branch with my Cardinal for the snow there. I used my SU
Pastels and scalloped punch to give some difference in colour for the sky. The
tag is one that I got as a freebie from Birds Cards. The red ribbon,
the gold Merry Christmas and dp is
from my stash and the cs is by Bazzil.
To
check out all my team mates fabulous creations and to join in on the fun, just
head on over to Pattie’s Creations Challenge Blog. We can’t wait to see what
you create.

Thinking of You
Hi all, it's time for another Digistamps4Joy Release day. Actually, I'm a day late in getting mine posted. Had my 30th Highschool reunion this weekend and my mil's birthday and it just threw my schedule wonky.
The image that I got to play with this time is a new one from Jen and it is just too cute for words. It's called Patches Little Nap. I used this sketch by Lisa Smith at Willow Sketchie Challenge
I turned it on it's side and instead of a rectangle in the middle I used a square.
I used green cs from Bazzil and two different dp's that were in my stash. They are from my local dollar store and they didn't have a name on them. The sentiment I found on the Anything Goes Challenge site on Paper Craft Planet. I coloure the image with my Staedtler Pencil Crayons, oms and my metallic silver pen. I added a few white highlights in the brown spots on my dog using my white gel pen. The green flat backed pearls are from Recollections
Isn't he just too adorable. You can find him and all of the other new releases on our Challenge Blog.
Thanks for visiting ~ Charlene
