Hi
everyone, it’s Friday again, and time for another challenge with Pattie’sCreations. Today’s challenge is all about the folds. We want to see all of
those wonderful different types of folds for your cards.
I
needed to make a card for my son’s 24th birthday (isn’t it amazing
how old our kids get and yet how young we stay? Lol). The fold that I am going
to share with you today is a new one that I found on Desire’s blog, Doing Life.
She hasn’t got a name for the type of fold, but you can find it on her tutorial
page under the heading of Maybe for Sept. 3rd, 2012. I used Pattie’s
new image Two Can Love as I thought that it would be great for a birthday card. I
wish that I could tell you all of the stuff that I used to create it, but I am
not at home with my crafting supplies, so I will only be able to tell you bits
and pieces.
The
yellow paper is by Bazzil and the black and red cs are by Recollections. The
die cut is my Nestibilities Decorative Labels One. I dry embossed the red paper
behind the image and then used my roller to apply SU’s black ink on it. I did
the sky in the background with my SU pastels and my SU Scalloped punch. The
flower is also made with my SU scalloped punch.
Sorry
but I can’t remember who the corner punches are by and the red hearts and red
flat backed pearls are from my stash. The sentiment is from Bird’s Cards.
And
here’s a view of the side to give you a better idea of how the fold works. And
of course I decorated the back and added a sentiment for my son.
Now
it’s your turn to join in on the fun. Remember you must use a image, either
rubber or digital. You should use a Pattie’s Creations image, but other’s are
allowed. If you use a Pattie’s Creations image you will receive an extra entry.
For a list of all the rules and prizes…and of course to check out all of the
incredible creations my team mates have come up with, head on over to our
Challenge Blog. We can’t wait to see what you come up with.
Thanks
