Happy Father's Day

It’s time for another challenge at Pattie’s Creations and as you can probably tell by the song I posted, our challenge is all about dad’s. Yup, it’s that time of year again, the time to let our dad’s know just how much they mean to us. I had a really hard time deciding who was going to get this card, my dad or my father in law…I’ll let you know after Father’s Day lol.

So the image that I used for my card this time is called Carmine the Camel. The first time I saw him I knew that I just had to have him…he’s just one of those images that you look at and go…”Oh Man, I have just got to have him!”
I decided to print Carmine out 3 times, 2 smaller images and 1 larger one to depict a father and his kids, and put it on a side step card. The background papers I found online as freebies. You can find the one of the sand and trees here, but unfortunately I can’t find where I put the link for the pyramid one. I printed a freebie  sentiment from A Piece of Heart on the pyramids and then another freebie sentiment from Quilling, Art and Expression.

Now it’s your turn to show us what you can do. Just head on over to Pattie’sCreations Challenge Blog and enter your project in with Mr. Linky. It is a rule with Pattie’s Creations that you must use a digital stamp or a stamped image on your project. And while you are not required to use a Pattie’s Creations Image, we get really excited when you do. To check out the fabulous creations that my teammates have made and for all of the rules and prizes, just head on over to Pattie’s Creations Challenge Blog…we can’t wait to see what you come up with.

Thanks for visiting ~ Charlene

Oh To Be Young Again

Hi all, it's time for another mid challenge reminder for the current challenge at Digistamp4Joy. And as usual it's the B Team's chance to wow you. South Africa is celebrating Youth Day in June and so we are challenging you to make a card or creation that shows what it means to be a teenager or young adult. Or make a card or creation for someone 12-20.

I decided to make mine for my daughter for her upcoming birthday. I used the image Misteri Caller. Now I have to admit, when I first looked at this image I was a little daunted at colouring it...I mean look at all that hair lol! But wow, was it ever a wonderful image to colour. I think that her and some of the other Misteri series are going to become some of my new favorite images. Anyway, enough talk...time to show my card.
Now I wish I could give you a whole great big list as to what I used to make this card, but unfortunately (for you...for me it was great) most of the stuff that I picked up at Garage sales or had as left overs. The only thing that I can tell you for sure is the cs is by Recollections and the ticket punch is from SU. The red flower I know that I bought a set of 2 from WalMart but I don't have the little tag telling me the maker anymore. The green rhinestones are from a dollar store by my parents in Kelowna and the blue roses were a gift from a friend. I coloured her with my Crayola crayons and oms.

Now it's your turn to join in the fun. Just head on over to Digistamps4Joy Challenge Blog and check out the fab creations that the rest of the B Team has done up for your viewing pleasure. You'll also find all the rules and prizes to be won there too. Don't forget, while you don't have to use a Digistamps4Joy image, if you do you will be entered in to win $10 worth of Digistamps4Joy images!

Thanks for looking ~ Charlene

Digistamps4Joy New Release May 26th

Hi all...wow, has it ever been a long time since I've done a posting! You all are going to fall over from the shock of it aren't you? So sorry it's been so long but we have been dealing with some health issues in my family and I have had little to no time for crafting. But, I am home with my crafting supplies now and am I ever excited to show you one of the new images that Digistamps4Joy released on Sunday. Unfortunately, I have been having problems with Blogger...gggggrrrrrr....and it wouldn't let me download my picture. Thanks so much Margy for suggesting that I go through Google Chrome :) Anyways, now that I can download again, onto my card!

The image is called Retail Therapy and it was just perfect for a card that I needed to do for my daughter for her best friend. I used the sketch from Creative Stamp Friends to showcase this little beauty.
I made that card for my daughter's best friend for her birthday. I colored the image with my SU felts (I was in a rush as we had forgotten about a card for her birthday lol) and my Crayola Pencil crayons with oms. The yellow dp (if you look closely it has small spots on it) is by Bazzil as well as the light blue cs. The blue dp is by Recollections. I will come back to let you know what the die's are that I used as I just want to try and get this posted now. The flowers are from my stash and the ribbon was from the dollar store. I got the idea for the ribbon from another blogger, but for the life of me I can't remember who it was, so if anyone knows someone that does this please let me know. I would love to give credit where it is due.

Thanks so much for coming and looking...and go take a look at our challenge blog for the rest of all of the incredible images that were released.

On Your Special Day

Hi all, it’s time for another new release at Digistamps4Joy and boy are you ever going to love the new images that we have for you.

All of the DT got to play with a wonderfully whimsical image by Jen called To Haveand To Hold and wait till you see the stunning creations that my team mates have come up with. I decided that I wanted to do something with a little bit of colour so I chose purple and white to compliment this wonderful image.

I coloured the image with my Staedtler pencil crayons and oms. I added Star Dust stickles to her earring, necklace and bracelet. The DP and rhinestone swirls are by Forever in Time. The white dp (it has vines embossed on it) is called Vine White and is by Making Memories. I used my SU scallop punch for behind the sentiment. The sentiment is from Birds Cards. The ribbon and and purple gem brad are from my stash.

I hope that you will head on over to our Challenge Blog to check out all of the fabulous new creations and my team mates wonderful inspirations.

Celebrating Easter

Hi all…I know, it’s been a long time, but I am back again…at least for a little bit. We have had an illness in my family and so I have not been around my home or crafting supplies for the last little while. But enough about me and my life, I know that you are all here to hear about the challenge going on at Digistamps4Joy. If you haven’t been to our challenge blog recently, then I encourage you to head on over and see the fabulous creations that Team A made for the beginning of our challenge. Now it’s Team B’s turn to Wow you. I know, you’re thinking “Come on, what’s the theme for this time?”…well I’m getting there…it has been awhile and I want to enjoy my first posting lol. The theme this time is “Celebrating Easter”. We want to see how you celebrate Easter. For me it’s a little bit of religion and Easter Bunny. When my kids were little we had the Easter Bunny show up, but being raised in a Christian household myself, my kids always knew that Easter was celebrated because of the death and resurrection of Jesus….the Easter Bunny was just for fun.

When I saw the theme for this challenge I was pretty excited because it gave me an excuse to use an image that I got awhile back and have not been able to use yet. The image is called Faberge Egg and you can find it here. I wanted to do something a little different this time…no fancy folds lol. Instead I decided to use the shape of the image to make my card.

Now it’s your turn, just make a project that has to do with Easter and enter it in. Just remember, if you use a Digistamps4Joy Image not only will it make us really really happy, but you will get an entry into a special draw for $10 worth of DS4J images! How great is that? For a full list of prizes and challenge rules head on over to the Challenge Blog. And while you’re there check out all of the incredible creations that my teammates have made.
