Hi all, it's time for another new release day at Digistamps4Joy. This week we were given 2 images to play with, unfortunately I only had time to make one card so you will have to go to the Digistamps4Joy Challenge Blog to see the rest.
The image that I chose to play with this week is called Lighthouse. Oh my good heavens but this is one multi-use type of image. It can be used for a man's/women's/birthday/father's day/mother's day/sympathy/thinking of you/get well...well you get the idea, it is a multi faceted type of image. I just love nature type of images (keep your eyes open as I am working on a card using an image that Margy did up from a picture I had posted on our DT Blog...it's just taking a bit as I want it to be " just right"). Anyways, I digress, you are here to see the image for this week's new release...so without further adieu...
I made this card for my dad...he's going through some rough health issues and I want him to remember the through God all things are possible.
Thank you so much for popping in and having a bit of a visit with me. I hope that you will head over to the Digistamps4Joy Challenge Blog and check out all of the other images that are being released and the fabulous creations that my team mates have made for your viewing pleasure.
Have a wonderful day ~ Charlene

With All My Heart
Hi all, I have a card that I want to share with you. It's one that I made awhile back and have been meaning to post it, but just haven't gotten it done. Well tonight is the night. I made this card for my hubby for Valentine's Day and I just love how it turned out.
The word art is from Nana Vic's...isn't it fabulous? It comes in a set so you get more than just this one. The dp that is red with black hearts is from Jennifer Scraps Valentine's Day Paper that I got as a freebie. And the Hugs and kisses dp was a freebie from Create with TLC. I made the black and red flowers with scraps I had and added a little red flower in the middle of the white one and added stickles to it (unfortunately the stickles kind of glooped out and I ended up with more on it than I wanted.) and added a small black pearl in the center. The white pearl swirls were from my stash and I punched out the corner hearts with a corner punch (sorry no name on it to share with you). And then a took my red glitter pen and outlined the heart in the middle of the flourishes. I also added some little red button hearts that I had given to me, to the pearl swirls.
Thanks for popping in...hugs ~ Charlene

Hi all, it's time for another mid challenge posting for Digistamps4Joy. Our challenge this fortnight was chosen by my wonderful teamie Annie and she has chosen Vintage. Now I don't know about all of you, but Vintage is a real challenge for me lol. I love the look of vintage cards but didn't think I actually had the knack for them. But, I think I might have actually done it for this one.
I chose to use the image The Empty Cross for an Easter card that I wanted to make for my parents. And this is what I came up with.

Have a "Blooming Good" Day
Oh man, have you ever had one of those days? You know the one's where the day seems to be going by so slowly and then bam! Time speeds up into hyper drive. That seems to be what happened to me today. Got onto my computer tonight after dinner and started catching up with emails and downloading cards onto my facebook page and the next thing you know it's after 11 and I haven't gotten my posting done for Digistamps4Joy's New Release Sunday.
Margy has come up with some totally adorable images for this Sunday's Release and us lucky DT members were given 2 of them! We could make a card with one or both of them. Well my inspiration seems to have taken a walk about (I would love to go to Australia so I figure that my inspiration just went there without me) so I only managed to do one. I chose to make a card with the image "New Home" and omg it is just the sweetest thing. I started out with a sketch from Stampin Royalty
Then chose my color scheme from this weeks Tuesday Color Challenge at The Outlawz, picked by Ursula
And this is what I came up with
Now is that just not the sweetest little mouse peaking out from that ol' boot? I used up some dp from my stash (bits and pieces), Close to Cocoa cs from SU and Close to Cocoa ink to distress my image and sentiment. I colored the image with my Crayola pencil crayons and oms and added the flower and gem swirls (bought at my local dollar store). The edge punch is from Martha Stewart (sorry I don't know the name because I got it second hand) and I used another Martha Stewart border punch to make the leaves (just cut them off the stem). Added a bit of green Recollections stickles to the leaves and it was done :D
I hope that you will head on over to our Challenge Blog and check out the rest of the new releases and the fabulous creations that my team mates have made to inspire you.
Thanks for visiting ~ Charlene

Digistamps4Joy New Release
It's time for our New Releases again at Digistamps4Joy and again Margy has outdone herself with these new images. The image that I chose to play with this time is called Daffodil. Now where I live in British Columbia, there is an area called Bradner that calls itself the "self proclaimed Daffodil Capital of Canada". Whether it is the daffodil capital of Canada is anyone's guess, but we do have a heck of a lot of daffodil's here...over 400 different varieties. But, I'm getting off track here, as usual lol. So here's what I came up with...
The dp is a freebie digital paper that I got from Dana's Inspirations. The teal and yellow cs is from SU and the sentiment is from Bird's Cards. The corners are done with my ticket punch from SU and the butterfly die is from Memory Box. The flowers, ribbon and leaves are from my stash and the vine is called Savannah Border. I colored the image with my crayola pencils crayons and oms. The edge punch is by Martha Stewart (not sure of the name of the punch as I got it second hand).
I hope that you will head on over to our Challenge Blog and check out the other wonderful images that Margy has drawn up to tantalize your imagination. And while you're there check out the fab creations that my team mates have come up with...and maybe check out our current challenge.
