Hi all, wow it's been awhile since I last did a posting. Life has been a roller coaster for me lately and I have just not been able to do the things that I like to do. But, I am trying to get myself back together and this is my first step towards it. So I did up a card for Digistamps4Joy's latest challenge "For the Boys". My fabulous teammate is Riette is the owner of this challenge and what a great challenge it is. I find cards for guys just the hardest one's to do, but we sure have been getting a lot of fabulous inspiration from all of you over the last week. The challenge started on Wednesday July, 9th and will end on Tuesday July 22nd so you still have lots of time to join in.
I decided to use one of Margy's newer images "Lion" for a Father's Day card for my dad. I just loved the regal look of this fine animal so much that I just had to give it to my dad...King of the Jungle and all ya know? lol
I merged the image onto an African print picture that I found online, unfortunately for the life of me I just cannot find the folder that I put that picture into so that I can give the artist credit. As soon as I do I will post it. The sentiment is a freebie from Desert Diva. The fold is called a Napkin fold and you can find the tutorial here.
The orange cs is by Bazzil and the orange and brown dp's are by BoBunny. Rhinestones and pearl swirls are from my stash. Die cut/embossing is by Nestibilities (will get die name later). Corner punch is from Recollections. The image was coloured using Crayola Pencil crayons and oms. The inside sentiment is a combination of a freebie from A Piece of Heart and my own words at the end.
There are some fabulous prizes to be won and some incredible creations for inspiration to be seen, so I hope that you will head on over to the Digistamps4Joy Challenge Blog and join in the fun.
Thanks for popping by and looking ~ Charlene
