Calgary Stampede 2012

As some of you may know, my daughter and I were recently in Calgary working at the Calgary Stampede. It was brutally hot, but oh did we ever have a great time. Now you’re probably wondering why I brought this up. Well, Pattie’s Creations is having another challenge and the challenge this fortnight is to create something that is not a card. Not a card…oh my goodness what was I to do? And then it hit me….something that I had wanted to do for my daughter since we had gotten back. And this is what I came up with….

I used 3 of Pattie’s wonderful images for this project….Cowgirl Pattieboop, WesternBoots and Western Hat(Western Hat has not been added to the store yet, but will be soon). I coloured Pattieboop and the boots in reds and tans because that’s the colours in my daughter’s bedroom. I left the hat white and added some red and white bakers twine on it to simulate our cowboy hats from the Stampede.

The images were coloured with my Crayola Crayon Pencil Crayons and oms. The 2012 Calgary Stampede was done with sticky letters and numbers that I had someone give to me recently. And the picture is one of me and my daughter at the Stampede.
